"Twas the Night Before"

twasthenightlg.jpg

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

We sure had a feast last night at mom and dad's.
Kudo's to all the chef's.
It was nice to have family and friends all together again.
Usually only happens once a year,
This year it was more special for me, considering what's gone down in the past 10 months.

Christmas is after all for kid's, and it always will be.
Seeing a smile on a child's face is a powerful image we often overlook.
Always remember the less fortunate ones when wrapping and opening gifts.

Have fun all, and enjoy your Christmas morning.

A few links for the eve.

Top 100 Christmas movies of all time. I agree with # 1.
