"You Ever Crave Shopping???"

Venice-shopping-1.jpg

Well, wer'e headed off to the "Peg" tommorow.
Cass, myself, Megan, Ashley and Madison. Amanda declined. Too bad.
She will certainly miss the shopping. :~)
Foody Goody's for supper tommorow night. I can taste those skewered shrimp as I post.
Shopping all day Saturday, then Red Lobster for dinner.
Madison is looking forward to Toys R Us. We all are though. Never lose that kid in you, never.
Oh, and a trip to bargain land. That would be Costco.
Future Shop is a place I like to check out. There's a B-day present I have to find there.
We're going to check out the new MTS Center. Hopefully in the not distant future,
an NHL franchise can be brought back to Winnipeg.
I know us rural folks would love to see it happen. Cross your fingers. :~)
If anyone wants a Wendy's takeout, e-mail me no later than 10:00am Sunday.
Enjoy your weekend, see ya Sunday.

"System Complete" "HL2 ROCKS"

Acc04.gif

Well my pc's rocking now. I updated XP with an auto installer, thanks to Sputterman.
This kept me off the net while security crap was installed.
I launched Steam and it did it's usual updating.
I clicked on play games and low and behold, there's all my games, including HL2.
Steam must have read my post from yesterday. HAHAHA
I tried out HL2 for awhile and just admired the graphics and physics,
and pissed off alot of metro cops by throwing anything I could find at them.
I can fully appreciate this game now.
I can't crank all video effects up, but it's looks awesome so far.
See the big smile on my face now?

"Steam Sucks"

sxm4(1).jpg

Well I've been off a few days, and not on a holiday either. That's next weekend in Winnipeg.
My pc got an upgrade. New mobo, cpu and a gig of ram. Gotta get my Half-Life fix.
I've been fighting with it all weekend. Upgrade went so so but solid.
Steam (HL2 supplier) on the other hand, is starting to piss me off.
They say my cd key is registered to another account with them.
Yes lame asses, that's my fricking account: bigalw@shaw.ca
Read your e-mail regularly and you might be able to solve my problem.
I went through this on the 16th, when I couldn't log in due to an ISP change from
Drytel to Shaw. They fixed that problem, but after I formatted and re-installed Windoze,
on the 21st, I'm back to square one. 2 days and no reply back from Steam.
I will never, and I mean never go this route with a pc game again.
I'll just wait a few extra days and buy it on the shelf like all the other neanderthals.

End of rant, but not end of bullshit. :<)

The image of the plane above, is landing on St. Maarten. What a view.
Here's it getting ready for take off.
Here's a tough little snake game.
How to kill a mocking bird. A little stupid, but funny.
A 2.5 Gig image. Cool.
This guy just can't seem to spell acdc. Funny.
Manhole covers from afar.
Remember Mad magazines?

Can you spot the differences in the 2 images.
Catch the numbers.
Guide the ball as it falls.
Don't let the red square touch the black square.

Not a game, but some spectacular photos from 300 miles up.

Attention all lazy butts, like me, finish all yard work during this period.
Check or re-string X-mas lights, or you'll be doing it in snow next week. :~)

One photoshopped dude. HAHAHA.
Identify the super heroes 12 pixels at a time.
I ate beans and Broccoli, then washed it down with crab cakes. Old but still funny.
What ever you do, don't push the red button.
You can push this yellow button though. Amazing, eh???
Ride the broom and shoot.
Amazing speed at satcking cups.
I need one of these in Dryden. The lights in town are way outa wack.
Jeez, I've never been kissed this many times in 25 seconds. hahahaha
You feeling lucky punk? Go ahead and make my crossword.

Mine would be:
"That's the second wrench you've dropped now Frank, would you kindly pass me the duct tape"

On another note, this picture scares the crap out of me. :~)

Perhaps the lamest threads ever on a forum. Great? Competition not welcome. HAHAHAHA
I think they should sneak the CSI team in to reveal the truth.
Can't understand a word he's saying, but this is funny.
Ya? Well I saw Elvis in my peanut butter toast.
I'm Popeye the sailor man, toot, toot.......The Quest for Pappy.

bug-cat.gif

Here's some stuff that happened Nov.12, 1960, when neonlite entered this world. :~)

- Leave it to Beaver. Episode #124: Miss Lander's Fiance.
- Fred MacMurray was on the cover of TV Guide.
- Mercury-Redstone 1 test launch fails at 10 cm altitude. Wow, that high.
- "It's Now Or Never" by Elvis Presley was #1 hit single.
- Sermon 38 - The Judgment Day as visioned by Zephaniah. wtf?
- Coup against South Vietnam pres Ngo Dinh Diem fails.

Not really anything that interesting, eh?
But I was voted the cutest baby born on earth that day. HAHAHAHA

Now for some fun stuff. Enjoy. :~)

Waiting for HL2? Try this game.
We like the moon. A rather bizarre song.
Hey. now I know how to draw Sponge Bob
Squarepants. Draw others here.
Here's some strange true stories.
Hmm, not my idea of a surplus store.
I know they're watching me. They always send me nasty e-mails. HAHAHA
Crabs, Dracula, Bram Stoker ?..........doubtful, but funny.
Ya Kenya, here I come. :~)
Good old Sambuca. The taste that stays in your mouth.
What not to do during a job interview.
A few rules to cocktailing. I like number 69.

"Remembrance Day"

remembrance_41.jpg

19760596-002.jpg

In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

The sun is rising. Cute.
This is a funny story. Nice photoshop job. HAHAHAHA
Protect your base in this game.
How could they let this fire burn that long? Lazy firefighters, if they even have any.
Need a specialty cheese? Buy it here. They even have 15 stinky cheeses.
Can they find an Uncle Ben's pop bottle?
Uh, no thanks I'll pass. I'd rather dodge fast moving trains.
Every massive particle has a corresponding antiparticle.
Photons however do not have antiparticles as they don't have mass.
Ya, I knew that.
Funny and unbelievable stuff.

"Friday Trivia"

trippyeyes.jpg

Okay, here's a few quotes from movies.
Just name the movie. Good luck and have fun. :~)

1. "I have asked you repeatedly to call me Dad." "Sorry, Harry."

2. "I've seen enough horror movies to know any weirdo wearing a mask is never friendly."

3. "In order to speak to his equal, an Irishman is forced to converse with the Almighty."

4. "What if I'm looking for a bathroom, I can't find one... and my bladder explodes?"

5. "Cut off one of his fingers. The little one."

6. "I guess they're gonna need some more F.B.I. guys!"

7. "Oh, Lord. You're so big. So awfully huge. We're all really impressed down here, I can tell you."

8. "This house is not a house."

9. "Hamburgers. The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast."

10. "I wish we could chat longer, but I’m having an old friend for dinner."

alltheway07.jpg

Cam and I were talking about these guys today at work.
Very funny indeed.

Guess it's time to winterize the camper, boat and lawn tractor.
No use for these 3 anymore, not for a few months anyways. :~)

Check out Kitty's blog.
I see this guy and I think about a handful of darts. HAHAHA
Hobbit's really walked the earth. Interesting.
A farting teddy bear. hehehe
Are you a lefty? Why not shop here.
Grimskin. What a cute little doll.
Obviously these people haven't heard about a little town called Dryden. :~)
Odds of bouncing the wrong way on a trampoline,
and landing on a yawning hippo. Million to 1? Poor Od.
Look, a motocoaster. I still wouldn't ride it.
Now this kid should know better. That's a very touchy topic.
Can you find the hidden pictures in the pictures?

Q104. That's the new radio station in town. FM 104.5 stereo.
Sure sounds nice in the vehicle. Good tunes also.
CKDR should wake up and smell the coffee.
They've been feeding us their lame ass format far too long.
Time for them to climb out of the sandbox if they want to play with the big boys.
Got to give them some credit. Their "Sound Off" was fun, and I emphasize "was".
If they only knew what an archive was, and how to use it. Oh well, their loss not mine.
Rock on Q104.
Oh, some butthead spammed my mom's blog with porn links, as Allen pointed out here.
What a lonely, twisted life these scumbags must lead,
Or in Yiddish, that's neauseating or sickening,
for those who don't understand my second language. :~)

On a lighter note, enjoy a few links.

Hey, the internet turned 35.
This is one badass jet fighter. Awesome.
Hey, Hey, Hey, it's Fat Albert. Should be a funny movie.
HAHAHA. This dude should have used "The Club" on each wheel.
Water balloons in space. That would be fun.
I know my mouse logs alot of miles.
Retro phones. Cool.
He isn't Spiderman. He's crazy.
Turbulence. Isn't that why they have those little paper bags in planes?
Tectonic plates. Earth sorta looks like an egg shell, doesn't it?
And what's wrong with that Pablo.
